Our core purpose is focused on contributing to the aims of Cheshire East Council, which are to help the people of Cheshire to:
- learn and develop throughout their lives
- have jobs and a good standard of living
- be safe, stay healthy and get help when they need it
- care for their communities and environment
And to help achieve the Government's five transport objectives, to:

The Council's Local Transport Plan for 2011 to 2026 includes a mix of mode and area-based strategies and proposals developed to satisfy these objectives. The resulting capital proposals are complemented by routine highway maintenance and management activities funded via the Council's annual revenue budget.
